Colnago fornirà le proprie biciclette al Team Novo Nordisk nei prossimi tre anni a partire dalla stagione 2016
Colnago e Team Novo Nordisk, la prima squadra di ciclisti al mondo formata da atleti diabetici. Una liaison che si rinnova, seguente alla collaborazione relativa alla stagione 2013. Questa volta il contratto durerà tre anni, a partire dalla stagione prossima fino al 2018. Una sfida voluta fortemente da Ernesto Colnago: “credo nei valori veri del ciclismo e vedo in questa squadra la passione genuina per il ciclismo. Questi ragazzi trasmettono tanta gioia e voglia di impegnarsi, auguro a loro un futuro ricco di soddisfazione e successi”. I corridori del Team Novo Nordisk potranno pedalare sulle migliori biciclette Colnago: C60 e V1-r per le corse su strada e K-zero nelle prove contro il tempo.
A proposito del team Novo Nordisk - È un team composto da atleti provenienti da tutto il mondo, tutti diabetici. Ciclisti, triatleti e runners. È stata la prima squadra al mondo affiliata all’UCI con questa caratteristica. Nel 2012, Phil Southerland, co-fondatore e CEO del team, e l’azienda farmaceutica Novo Nordisk, si sono riuniti per creare il team Novo Nordisk, sulla base di una visione condivisa per ispirare, educare e responsabilizzare le persone di tutto il mondo affette da diabete.

Nel 2015 il Team Novo Nordisk ha disputato 43 corse in 26 paesi. La squadra ha ottenuto il primo successo grazie a Scott Ambrose, vincitore della seconda tappa del Tour de Filipinas; Javier Megias invece è arrivato 2° nella sesta tappa del USA Pro Challenge, miglior piazzamento in una corsa 2.HC. La Novo Nordisk infine ha partecipato per la prima volta alla Milano-Sanremo, con Andrea Peron protagonista della fuga di giornata e primo (di quattro) atleta diabetico a concludere la Classicissima nella sua storia ultracentenaria.
