Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia al lavoro per il 2016
Ha preso ufficialmente inizio la nuova stagione di Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia. Il 2016 sarà la terza stagione in gruppo per la formazione continental italiana diretta dal team manager Ivan De Paolis.
La nuova stagione ha preso il via con il primo raduno collegiale che vede dal 10 al 12 dicembre tutta la squadra, corridori e staff tecnico, per la prima volta di nuovo insieme. La sede dei lavori è l’Hotel Ibis di Padova.
“Questo primo raduno serve soprattutto per fare conoscenza e permettere ai nuovi arrivati di amalgamarsi con il resto della sqaudra. Inoltre programmeremo con i ragazzi gli allenamenti invernali e la prima parte della stagione. Per il 2016 ci sono molte novità, ma si riparte con fiducia e rinnovato ottimismo da quanto di buono costruito con impegno, passione e determinazione nelle prime due stagioni” spiega il team manager Ivan De Paolis.
Il primo aspetto da cui si riparte è la nuova rosa. “Ai corridori confermati, tra i quali spiccano i nomi di Antonio Parrinello e Paolo Ciavatta, si aggiungono dei nuovi innesti, anche con corridori giovani che arrivano dagli under23, e dei ritorni importanti in maglia Area Zero come quelli di Fabo Chinello e Charly Petelin che sono già stati con noi al debutto del team nel 2014” continua Ivan De Paolis.
Allo stato attuale la rosa 2016 di Area-Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia è composta da 14 corridori: Francesco Baldi (Ita), Giorgio Bocchiola (Ita), Fabio Chinello (Ita), Paolo Ciavatta (Ita), Pietro Di Genova (Ita), Nicola Genovese (Ita), Daniel Martin Gines (Spa), Luca Giuliani (Ita), Davide Leone (Ita), Iltjan Nika (Alb), Antonio Parrinello (Ita), Charly Petelin (Ita), Marco Tizza (Ita), Fabio Tommassini (Ita). A seguire i ragazzi in ammiraglia, e non solo, come sempre ci sarà il direttore sportivo Massimo Codol. “Il gruppo di lavoro sarà questo, al massimo ci potrà essere ancora un innesto, questo aspetto comunque sarà definito nel giro di pochi giorni” conclude Ivan De Paolis.

Nuovo arrivo per la D'Amico-Bottecchia: ingaggiato il ventunenne venezuelano Luis Mora
La D'Amico-Bottecchia ha annunciato l'ingaggio di un nuovo corridore, il sedicesimo elemento del team per la stagione 2016: si tratta di Luis Mora, ventunenne venezuelano che si è messo in luce alla recente Vuelta al Táchira concluso all'undicesimo posto e con la conquista della maglia bianca di miglior giovane. «La squadra conferma la sua tradizione di puntare e investire sui giovani» spiega il team manager Ivan De Paolis. «Pur mantenedo la nostra matrice italiana abbiamo voluto inserire alcuni giovani corridori stranieri. Le nazioni sudamericane hanno dimostrato grande fermento e vivacità nelle ultime stagioni. Ampliare gli orizzonti e confrontarsi anche con queste realtà reappresenta un'occasione di crescita importante. Noi questo lo abbiamo già visto anche partecipando nel 2014 e nel 2015 alla Vuelta a Colombia. Luis Mora sembra un govane promettente e con la maglia di D'Amico-Bottecchia avrà l'opportunità di fare un'esperienza importante nel ciclismo europeo e di dare il suo contributo alla squadra»
