Le dichiarazioni dei BMC
Pavel Sivakov:
“It was hard today. That type of effort it always hard because it is short and you have to go full gas right from the beginning. I was lucky that I was staying in the area over the past week so, I could do a recon of the course, and I knew how to manage my effort. I think I did that well and I am pretty happy to finish second. I didn't expect it.”
“We are now in a good position. The gaps aren't that big, and we don’t have to control the race tomorrow. With Steff Cras also doing a good job today and finishing fourth, I think we are in a really good place as we look ahead to the rest of the week.”
Steff Cras:
“It was 8km of pain. I prepared well coming into this race and for today’s stage. I was feeling good ahead of the time trial, and I have worked hard on my time trialing skills this year. I had power in my legs and right from the beginning it was going really well, so I kept pushing the watts. I am a little disappointed to miss out on the podium by such a small margin, but it is a good start. We have two riders in a great position overall so I think we can be positive as we look ahead to the rest of the race.”
