<b>Incidente a Livigno per Annemiek Van Vleuten. L'olandese della Bigla rischia di saltare la seconda parte di stagione</b>
Arriva una tegola per la Bigla e, in ottica Mondiale, per l'Olanda. Annemiek Van Vleuten infatti è stata vittima di un incidente mentre si stava allenando a Livigno. L'atleta olandese è stata investita da un'automobile che non l'ha vista, cadendo malamente a terra. La Van Vleuten è stata trasportata all'ospedale di Sondalo, dove le sono state riscontrate tre costole fratturate, un polmone perforato ed una clavicola rotta. Dopo alcuni giorni verrà dimessa e tornerà in Olanda, dove proverà con i suoi tecnici a ripensare al seconda parte di stagione, Mondiali (a forte rischio?) inclusi.

"The car did not see me coming and took a left turn. I was riding fast because I was doing TT training. My boyfriend Tom was luckily with me and saw it happening. The helicopter brought me to Sondalo hospital. I had an examination and they found a broken collarbone and three broken ribs. There was also risk for pneumothorax and I had surgery for that today to inflate the lung again."
"I am very disappointed because I was preparing very well for the last part of the season and was feeling great. On the other hand I was very lucky that it was only this and I am still alive.This is something I can handle and will be ok and take some time out."
