Ottima carriera giovanile, sia come capitano che come gregario, un ruolo di fondamentale importanza nella vittoria di Hirschi al mondiale U23 e una prima parte di stagione dove è stato il migliore della sua squadra.

A sorpresa a soli 22 anni Pit Leyder dice basta.

Pit Leyder: "In the past years, I was lucky enough to pursue my dream live my life as a cyclist. La cosa peggiore è che mo mi tocca cercare il suo topic e spostarlo nei ritirati.

Peccato, comunque. Evidentemente si era reso conto di poter ambire solo a una carriera da comprimario ad alti livelli e ha deciso che non era ciò che voleva nella vita.

Si ritirano anche i fratelli Feillu; Brice il 100% delle vittorie in carriera (1) le ha ottenute al Tour 

Stessa scelta per De Clerc, il 50% delle sue vittorie le ha raccolte al Giro
